An arch softens a hard façade and gives an opening a sense of grandeur. Decorative Architectural Shapes makes decorative architectural arches and keystones in sizes and styles that range from small window heads to monumental entrances.

Arches in foam

Our arches are CNC-cut from high-density EPS and covered with a polyurea hard coat. This gives exterior arches the look of cut stone or plaster while the coating resists moisture, UV and cracking. Rounded arches, elliptical, pointed and Roman arch shapes can be built as framing for doors, windows, porches, arcades or interior openings, and curved sections can be made in one piece or in segments, depending on size.

Keystones and details

A keystone is the central wedge at the top of an arch. A decorative keystone adds emphasis to an entrance, and an exterior keystone molding or decorative arch moulding adds depth around the curve. The same pieces work for a keystone arch above a window or garage door, and for a corbelled arch with brackets that carries the eye down the wall. Archway decor and arch wall decor inside a lobby or restaurant follow the same method. We can match your existing trim and stucco color.

For new builds, foam arches avoid the cost and delay of masonry formwork, and for renovations they can be fixed over an existing opening without structural changes. Because the pieces are light, even a wide entrance arch can be installed by a small crew, which helps keep the schedule predictable. If you are unsure which shape suits the building, send a photo and we will suggest a proportion that fits the style and the size of the opening.

Decorative arches for doorways, decorative doorway arches and decorative wall arches frame an opening, while decorative garden arches suit gates and patios. Decorative arches for homes can be topped with decorative exterior keystones or decorative keystones.
