The entrance is the first thing a visitor sees of an estate. Decorative Architectural Shapes designs and makes estate entrance kits: gate piers, walls, arches, caps and name panels that give the property a distinctive gateway.

What an entrance design includes

An entrance gateway can be a pair of tall piers with caps and finials, a pair of piers with a lintel or an arch, curved wing walls or a sign wall with the estate name. Estate gates designs work with ironwork or wood gates, and a custom estate gate gets a frame of piers made to its width and height. Modern estate entrance designs use clean, flat masses with a slim cap, while country estate entrance gates lean on texture and ornament. We fabricate the entrance structure and decorative shell, and the gates and automation are supplied by your gate contractor.

Foam construction

Each element is CNC-cut from high-density EPS and covered with a polyurea hard coat. The coating resists moisture, UV and cracking, and the finish can look like stone, brick, stucco or cast concrete. The light weight cuts transport and crane time, and a kit can be installed over a structural core such as a steel or masonry frame. Lighting niches, name plates and address numbers can be built in. Property entrance gate ideas from your landscape architect or designer can be reproduced from drawings.

Types of entrance gates

Entrance gates are swing, sliding or cantilever, in wrought iron, aluminum or wood, and each type needs a different pier width and clearance. Tell us the type and we design the piers around it.

A good gateway also frames the view. Pier height, spacing and cap size should be set with the width of the drive and the scale of the house, so the entrance looks welcoming rather than defensive.
