Trim is what turns a plain wall into a finished façade. Decorative Architectural Shapes makes exterior decorative trim for windows, doors, corners and rooflines in custom profiles that match stucco, brick and siding.

Materials and durability

Each piece is CNC-cut from high-density EPS and covered with a polyurea hard coat. Compared with wood, foam trim does not rot, split or warp, and the coating resists moisture, UV and temperature swings. A polyurethane trim or exterior foam trim molding profile is much lighter, so long runs go up faster and put less load on the wall.

Where trim is used

Window and door casing frames the openings, while front door trim and door casing profiles define the entrance. Outside corner trim, stucco edge trim and plaster trim finish wall transitions, flat trim creates bands and panels, and rope trim moulding, backband moulding and Windsor casing add classical detail. Decorative exterior house trim also works as belt courses and gable frames. We design the profile to suit the style of the building and the thickness of the wall finish. Trim is also the most economical way to change the character of a building: new casings, bands and corner details can upgrade a plain façade without rebuilding any walls. Contractors value that the pieces are light, uniform and ready to finish, so long runs go up quickly and look consistent on site. We can also match the trim to existing profiles on a neighboring building or an earlier phase, which helps multi-phase developments stay consistent.

Exterior stucco foam trim and decorative stucco foam trim are installed on stucco walls and finished to match. Stucco foam window trim, foam window trim and decorative exterior window trim frame openings, while decorative wall trim and decorative trim moulding also work indoors as architectural trim.
