Materials and construction

Our pieces are cut with CNC technology from high-density architectural-grade EPS, so scrolls, florals and bas-relief patterns repeat exactly from one element to the next. A polyurea coating follows, applied before hand finishing, which keeps fine lines crisp. Unlike off-the-shelf polyurethane appliques and onlays or brittle plastic copies, the elastic coating moves with the substrate, so joints are less likely to crack. The system is covered by a 20-year warranty.

Where to use them

Architectural appliques and onlays work above entrances and in appliques and onlays for a pediment, under cornices, and around windows. Wall appliques and onlays refresh lobbies and living rooms. A fireplace applique adds detail to a mantel, and wood appliques for cabinet doors give a plain panel a carved look. The same method replaces plaster wall plaques or restores a lost carved element, and decorative onlays appliques can be finished to resemble wood, stone or painted plaster.
